I'm a beginner of CMailGroup, how should I do to make it work?

  1. Create External Account
Press the "Add External Account" button to open the following window, it's easy to add an external email account here consulting settings in Figure 1.

    Figure 1

The "Related Local Account" is a list of local accounts which send and receive email via current external account.

  2. Create Local Account
Press the "Add Local Account" button to open the following window, it's easy to add a local email account here consulting settings in Figure 2.

    Figure 2

The domani such as "local.com" can be any one you wish, it's only availble in the LAN.

  3. Mail Client Settings
Suppose the cmailgroup is installed on the 192.168.1.1, so -
    Outgoing server address is 192.168.1.1
    Incoming server address is 192.168.1.1
    The outgoing server requires authentication.
Email address is the “account name” in the cmailgroup account properties (i.e. alex@local.com)
Login username is the “account name” in the cmailgroup account properties (i.e. alex@local.com)
Login password is the “password” in the cmailgroup account properties.

We take alex@local.com and outlook express for example.
Click menu “tools” -> “account”, and click “Add” -> “Mails”,

    Figure 3

    Figure 4

In Figure 5, the "Account name" should be the whole email address like "alex@local.com", can not be "alex" only.

    Figure 5

After finished, click menu “tools” -> “account”, and select the added account, edit “properties”, in “Servers” tab, select “My server requires authentication”.

    Figure 6

Now, you can use the local account to send and receive emails with both local and external email addresses.
