CCProxy 6.5 beta version is released
1. Add timeout funtion and avoid dead connections occupy resource.
2. Support more connections. Can support 1500 connections at the same time.
3. Reduce CPU usage.
4. Remove "Hide All" function and avoid the hackers use CCProxy as hacktool.
5. Remove "Permit All But" from "Permit Category".
6. Can view flow stats in time.
7. Fix a bug in WebCache. This bug will cause prolem in flash/NSPlayer stream media connection.
8. Fixed a bug in NT service. This bug will cause problem in uninstall ccproxy.
9. Fix a bug in NT Auth. This bug will cause NT users logout.
10. Important change: Separate NT service and UI. Now UI control the service via PIPE and CCProxy can support vista.
11. Client can change password with http://192.168.0.1:88/. (should select "enable remote admin" in "miscellaneous" of advanced options)
12. Support remote NT user auth. (Uncheck "Nt User Auth" in "account manager" and change change the nt domain name)
13. Fix a bug in SOCKS5. This bug will cause auth request for java application.
14. Improve bandwidth control function. When change bandwidth settings, the bandwidth limitaion will be effected immediately.

Below are the newly added features.
1. User account management supports mixing multiple authentication modes.
2. Different protocol can set up different cascading proxy.
3. Can use multiple accounts manage one client.
4. Allows running multiple CCProxy instances(need to install it into different folder).

CCProxy issue - Many people reported CCProxy had been installed into their computers without authorized and required remove it. We pay close attention to this unusual issue because it unfairly impaired our software's reputation. This problem is probably incurred by some other program that is NOT the product from our company. Now we find that there is a file named runscr32.exe does this bad thing. Please search if there is a file named runscr32.exe or hide.exe on your computer. If you find both of them or even one of them. Please delete them.

CCProxy 5.30 is updated.
Enhanced the port map function.
Enhanced the MAC address function.
Added two advanced functions:
1. NT user authorization. (In CCProxy.ini, add NTUserAuth=1)
2. Auto proxy. (In port map dialog, add a port map and set 'dest host' as 'autoproxy'. Supposed the local port is 8888, and then your auto proxy url in IE is http://192.168.0.1:8888.

Version 5.30 incorporated many new features. They include:
1) Flow Stats
We add this feature to Account Manager part. Setting and checking statistis of flow are allowed.
2) URL filtering
It can be used to prevent users from downloading files with designated extended name via IE. This feature is incorporated into Web Filter section.
3) Support for proxy in FTP port mode is added.
4)Fully supports RealPlayer RTSP proxy
5)Supports MediaPlayer MMS proxy. Requires MedialPlayer 7.01 or above.
6) NT service startup.
7) Sending message to users.
Move cursor to highlight a user. Right click mouse.
In popup box, you can send message to this user. You should use machine name as user name there. Winpopup is required to
pre install at clients. Or clients are using Win2000.
8) Right click menu of system tray is added.
Menu choices include dial-up and disconnect.
9) Improved time schedule function. Makes revision of time schedule take effect immediately.
10) Improved flow control function. Allows flow control of 4096 or more.

05/18/2002 CCProxy Version 5.2 is released.
The latest version of CCProxy incorporates new features: bandwidth management, Excel report for log files, support for Socks4a, three times authentication chances for web page authentication, and generating log files by date. Time schedule part is reinforced . Two account management ways are added: "username/password+IP address" and "User name/password+MAC address". Fixed some bugs in version 5.0.
